Thankyou Mystero for the mental image!
Socar - slightly off topic, but your post made me wonder, have you ever read the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman?
(Last night must have been a world-wide crap night for getting to sleep. I lay awake for hours too, and listened to the ailing furnace rumbling and burping in the cellar. I'm sure it's plotting to blow the house up.)

I was up all night too.
You should try walking on your hands.
By 80's pop, I hope you mean the ultimate, a-ha's Take On Me. Unless you have a thing against Norwegian bands, sort of a residual Swedish loyalty thing. What a great video, when she gets pulled into the cartoon.

More importantly, I wanted to remind you that an experiment at Duke University Medical Center offered thirsty monkeys a choice: their favorite drink, in this case, Juicy Juice brand cherry drink, or the opportunity to look at computer images of the dominant, “celebrity” monkey of their pack. Despite their thirst, they chose to look at the pictures. Monkeys with status have food, power and sexual magnetism — everything the others crave. The impulse to look at these “celebrity” monkeys was so strong, it superseded thirst.
I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this.
