![]() Who?Me! Me! Over here! I'm Socar Myles, and this is my silly Internet journal. I like soup, classical music, rats, drawing, and being online. I also like to read and play videogames. My favourite artists are Michael Hague, Arthur Rackham, and Albrecht Durer. If I could draw like them, I would be rich by now. Unfortunately, I cannot, so I'm generally a bit on the short side, financially speaking. At the moment, I am living in Vancouver, Canada. I have also wasted time in the following places: - Prestwick, Scotland Ask me about my travels all you like--just don't ask directions. No matter what city I'm currently in, you can bet on one thing: I am lost. (This applies even when I'm at home, since I'm never precisely sure where my home is, as relates to the rest of the city.) I've kept pet rats for ages and ages. You'd think they'd all run together in my head after a while, given their short lifespans, but there've been some standouts over the years. The best of the ordinary rats was Giggerota, named after a cannibal lady on a sci-fi show. The best of the bizarro rats was Stella, a giant Gambian pouched rat. I don't know where Stella got her name--she came with it already attached. I think it had something to do with the wee star on her forehead. I have Stella's photo and Giggerota's ashes on the shelf above my computer, as reminders of them. I'm not married yet. One day, I'd like to marry another videogame addict, one who also loves rats, books, soup, practical jokes, and Italian opera, but who isn't clingy or extra-emotional, and who doesn't want children. (And now you see WHY I'm not married!) There isn't much else to say about me. My life is usually average and boring, except when weird things happen out of the blue. The stories in this journal are true, except when they're fiction. (The fictional entries are marked as such.) |
